If your door feels unusually heavy to lift manually, opens unevenly, makes a loud bang during operation, or won't stay open on its own — the spring is likely the issue. Springs are under extreme tension and should only be replaced by a trained technician. Do not attempt to operate the door until it's assessed.
Most residential replacements — including removal of the old door and installation of the new one — are completed within 3 to 4 hours. If a new opener is being installed at the same time, add approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. We don't leave until the system has been tested and verified.
